Gulf States Materials is a Texas-based supplier of road base materials and aggregates, serving contractors, builders, municipalities, and property owners throughout the Southeast Texas region.

Based in La Porte, Texas, we focus on delivering consistent, high-quality materials backed by decades of industry experience. From large-scale infrastructure projects to smaller residential jobs, our goal is to be a dependable partner for every customer we serve.

Est. 1985

Gulf States Materials has been producing and supplying GS-100 Flexible Road Base since 1985, with over 20 million tons sold to date.

What began as a focused operation supplying GS-100 has grown into a full-service materials business, serving a wide range of construction needs across Southeast Texas. Through careful planning and responsible sourcing, we have maintained a reliable supply while continuing to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry.

What Makes GS-100 Different

GS-100 Flexible Road Base is the foundation of our business and remains our flagship product. It is an alternative to traditional crushed limestone and crushed concrete, offering consistent quality and dependable performance.

Produced at our La Porte facility, GS-100 is engineered for strong compaction and long-term stability. Its uniform composition allows contractors to rely on predictable performance from load to load, helping reduce variability in the field.

Our La Porte Facility

Our primary office and material yard are located in La Porte, Texas, within Harris County. At this location, we produce high volumes of GS-100 Screened and Unscreened Flexible Road Base as well as GS-100 Bull Rock (2" x 5" ±).

The La Porte facility allows us to maintain quality control, manage inventory efficiently, and support high-volume material demands throughout the Southeast Texas region.

Distribution Network

In addition to the materials produced at our La Porte yard, Gulf States Materials maintains a regional distribution network to ensure timely delivery of a wide range of materials to projects across Southeast Texas.

This approach allows us to provide contractors, municipalities, and property owners with reliable access to the materials they need, when and where they need them.
